My artistic journey is a vibrant fusion of my multicultural upbringing and passion for visual storytelling. Born in Mangalore, Karnataka, and raised in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, I enhanced my creativity early through art classes where I mastered the fundamentals of drawing and painting, . In high school, my fascination with fashion took root as I became captivated by the artistry of prints, patterns, and the storytelling potential of garments.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from INIFD Deccan, Pune, where I honed my skills in fabric and surface design, exploring how textiles can elevate visual narratives. During this time, I gained practical experience as a volunteer graphic designer for Girl Up Muskurahat, a UN Foundation club, and as a fashion design intern at Wellknit Industries, where I created kidswear collections and designed prints for their brand, Little Hearts.

To further pursue my passion, I earned a Master’s degree in Fibers at Savannah College of Art and Design, specializing in print and pattern design. My work reflects my dedication to telling stories through textiles, creating designs that celebrate the richness of the human experience.

ARTIST STATEMENT

From the moment we are born until the moment we die, textiles play an integral role in our lives, acting as a second skin that keeps us warm, comfortable, and protected. In my practice, I harness these ubiquitous materials, infusing them with meaning, stories, emotions, and human experiences. My artistic journey has led me to explore the realm of textiles, where I merge my vision with tactile narratives that transcend conventional boundaries. Each stroke of my brush and every intricate fabric pattern echoes the profound tapestry of human memories and emotions. Drawing from life's myriad moments, both joyful and melancholy, my art becomes a vessel for distilling emotions and weaving narratives. Through my work, I aim to reflect the depth of the human recollections, inviting viewers to embark on an introspective journey resonant with their own lived stories. By printing these narratives onto textiles, I provide a platform for personal expression, aiming to evoke emotions and memories that touch on a deeply individual level. Ultimately, my goal is to empower people to wear my art, sharing their stories and experiences with the world, while also finding solace, self-discovery, and connection within themselves.
